I traded for AJ Brown in fantasy football earlier in the spring with the hopes he'd get traded from Philly. It seems pretty clear at this point he'll be traded post-June 1, and New England is the expected landing spot.

Once I'm done building my dynasty rankings each year, I do my rookie draft and then flip the page to the next class. This year is exciting. The 2027 class is looking to be really strong, and I have a ranking model that I've finalized (for the most part).

Summer Scouting is a Waste of Time & Best Picks from the 2026 NFL Draft
I think watching players in the summer is kind of a waste of time, though it can provide some good notes. I'm just not a fan of the "got ya" thinking within the community of who is on a certain player early. WHO CARES. As long as you know who they are by the time the 2027 NFL Draft comes around.

Not every day of scouting is sexy. My process on players is data-driven in many ways. Outliers, historic trends and season analytics make up a good portion of my scouting model - roughly 30%. Many days that can be hours in a Google Sheet inputting data, new players and constantly tweaking.

The Running Back & Tight End Shift
The 2026 NFL Draft is likely to be the first time since 2010 where more TEs were drafted than RBs. At this year's combine, there were 27 TEs in attendance to only 21 RBs. I looked at what the 2010 NFL Draft looked like as well as the overall landscape of the league and how much the league has shifted in the last 16 years yet we are right back where we were in 2003.
