Talk about a brutal loss for the New York football Giants — they have been removed from the power rankings and sadly I fear they may never return in 2026 with Dart projected to miss the remainder of the season.

Are the Las Vegas Raiders actually good, or are they just cosplaying a good team because they were lucky enough to draw the Dolphins and Chargers to become 2-0? I’m not entirely sure but as long as Maxx Crosby is healthy, the Raiders defense is going to be good. Vegas’ fifth round pick Hezekiah Masses, who was 0.01 points away from being graded as a 4th rounder in my ranking model, picked off Justin Herbert twice on Sunday.

I think the top 5 of these rankings may be solidified for the next couple of weeks. The reigning Super Bowl champs don’t appear to have taken a step back. Dare I say they are an improved football team with Drew Lock leading the way?? 👀

The Niners have looked like the best team in football through 2 weeks but they haven’t dethroned Seattle just yet. We’ll find out in Week 5.

The Bills and the Chiefs back atop the AFC. What a time. God I fucking hate the Chiefs man. They are too good. The addition of Kenneth Walker IIEric Bienemy. I’m going to victory lap the shit out of that. Losing Matt Nagy in favor of Bienemy was the biggest move of the offseason and it wasn’t close. There are some incredible matchups in the SEC this weekend with College Gameday headed to Knoxville, Tennessee for Texas-Tennessee. I’m really pulling for the Vols; I hate burnt orange.

Fun fact: Tennessee is one of three schools with their football stadium directly next to a body of water. The other two are Baylor and Washington.

Ole Miss is coming off one of the biggest wins in program history and immediately has to travel to The Swamp and play Florida. The SEC really is a gauntlet whether you hate the conference or not. They are still a juggernaut on a weekly basis. It’s the deepest conference in college football. I’ve talked about him at length but google Jadan Baugh right now. A 6-1, 225 pounds running back with smoother feet than anyone on Dancing With The Stars. His jump cut move kills defenders and leaves them in the dust. I really think we could be looking at another running back drafted inside the top 10.

If you’re looking for a Saturday afternoon nap, look no further than Iowa at Michigan at 2:30pm on CBS. That game is going to be a defensive battle for the ages aka a giant snooze fest. On the flip side, Missouri travels to Mississippi State in one of the more exciting matchups. The QB battle in this one is top tier with Missouri’s Austin Simmons looking like the total package despite being left-handed. And then there’s Kamario Taylor who I’ve raved about for weeks. We just saw him dominate LaNorris Sellers and forcibly throw his hat in the Heisman Trophy ring. Too bad he’s not NFL eligible until the 2028 NFL Draft. It wouldn’t even surprise me if we didn’t see him declare until 2029. He’s from Starkville and loves the Bulldogs.

The game of the weekend in my opinion is Oregon at USC. This is a real chance for Lincoln Riley to make a statement and effectively ruin the Ducks’ season by giving Dan Lanning and company their second loss in four games. Two NFL quarterbacks on much different trajectories to start the season. USC’s Jayden Maiava has been balling and is trending toward being a top 50 player in the 2027 NFL Draft. Oregon’s Dante Moore on the other hand has been falling among draft analysts due to his mediocre performances. Everything we wanted to see him improve on from last season just hasn’t happened. With the bad loss at Oklahoma State he’s trending the wrong direction. Both of them could cement themselves firmly in the top QB conversation with wins.
