MY 100TH POST!!!
What a milestone. That’s a whole lot of me yelling into the void/writing about football for a small audience of my closest friends 🥹
Here are a few of my favorite/most meaningful articles:
WEEK 7 NFL POWER RANKINGS
This one is going to be QUICK! I’ve been absolutely slammed at work. If you’ve ever heard of the California CARS Act, I’m sorry. New FTC regulations are making my job extremely difficult right now.
Anyways, let’s get to the Week 7 Power Rankings. I wanted so bad to keep the Los Angeles Rams in despite being 2-4, but they are trending the wrong direction. I did include the Houston Texans, who are also 2-4, but they truly could’ve been one of the best 0-4 teams of all time. And they beat a top three AFC team in another country, so they are in. My 16th spot is a disgusting battle between the Rams and the Cleveland Browns, who sit at 4-2 fresh off a home win against the Ravens with no Lamar Jackson. I couldn’t put either of them in. The Myles Garrett trade has been terrible considering the Super Team Rams have lost three of their last four, while Cleveland is two games above .500, winning the AFC North. Who would’ve predicted that?
San Francisco 49ers (6-0, W 23-17 vs Commanders)
Kansas City Chiefs (5-0, W 22-6 vs Chargers)
Minnesota Vikings (5-0, BYE)
Buffalo Bills (5-1, W 33-30 at Raiders)
New England Patriots (4-2, W 26-19 vs Jets) ⬆2
Denver Broncos (4-2, W 17-14 OT vs Seahawks) ⬆2
Chicago Bears (4-2, W 31-23 at Falcons) ⬆3
Jacksonville Jaguars (4-2, L 31-34 vs Texans in London) ⬇3
Green Bay Packers (4-2, W 23-13 vs Cowboys) ⬆4
Carolina Panthers (3-2, W 25-14 at Eagles) ⬆1
Baltimore Ravens (4-2, L 10-13 at Browns) ⬇5
Seattle Seahawks (3-3, L 14-17 at Broncos) ⬇3
Detroit Lions (3-2, BYE) ⬆1
Pittsburgh Steelers (4-2, W 26-19 at Buccaneers) ⬆1
Houston Texans (2-4, W 34-31 vs Jaguars in London) ⬆NR
Teams on BYE: Bills, Jaguars, Chargers, Commanders
Game of the Week: Kansas City Chiefs at Seattle Seahawks — Sunday Night Football will be the Kenneth Walker III revenge game. I still can’t believe the Seahawks let him walk in free agency despite being named Super Bowl MVP. He’s going off this year and has been one of the best players in the league. Even with Seattle getting Zach Charbonnet back this week to carry some of the load - pause - left by KW3, they are going to need their 12th man advantage to beat a very good Chiefs team. Kansas City’s looking to get to 6-0 with a win over the Super Bowl champs, and, if they do, Seattle will be sitting at 3-4. This game could change the trajectory of both the AFC and NFC for the remainder of the season.
