Thanks for reading, check out my new YouTube channel: Football With Chaw.
Since I cover the NFL Draft mostly, the matchup of the week to me matches the thumbnail – the Cleveland Browns (2-6) meeting the new look New York Jets (1-7) in what many are calling “The Great Tank Off.” The Jets just traded star defenders Sauce Gardner and Quinnen Williams prior to Tuesday’s trade deadline to load up on first round picks. Both these teams need a QB. I expect neither team tries that hard to win this football game.
Week 10 features several games that will alter the course of the season, including heavyweight matchups on Sunday Night Football and on Monday Night Football. SNF is an AFC battle between the Pittsburgh Steelers (5-3) and the Los Angeles Chargers (6-3). The playoff picture will start to take shape. On the NFC side, MNF is a huge matchup between the Philadelphia Eagles (6-2) and Green Bay Packers (5-2-1). Two of the best teams in the conference battle for the top spot.
The New England Patriots (7-2) travel to Tampa Bay to take on the Buccaneers (6-2) in what I can only call the Tom Brady Bowl. His former teams are contenders in their respective conferences, and this game will go a long way into where they are seeded come January.
Another huge matchup takes place in the NFC West with the Los Angeles Rams (6-2) and the San Francisco 49ers (6-3) battling for a division title. They are right there alongside the Seattle Seahawks (6-2) so the result of this game is huge.
The SuperContest Picks & Why:(Colts -6.5 vs Falcons – Germany)Something just tells me that the Colts are going to bounce back. They had a nice, long flight to Germany after the beatdown they took against the Steelers last week. The only thing that worries me is the Falcons have the pass rush working with their two first round rookies Jalon Walker and James Pearce Jr.
(Browns -2 at Jets)This game is going to be ugly. But I think the Browns have the better defense, especially with Sauce Gardner on the way to Indy (Germany) and Quinnen Williams heading to Dallas. Something tells me Myles Garrett will have a huge impact on the game.
(Panthers -5 vs Saints)The Panthers were undefeated at home until the Buffalo Bills came to town a couple of weeks ago and beat the absolute hell out of Carolina. With Tyler Shough at QB for the Saints, the tank is on. They don’t want to win.
(Texans +1 vs Jaguars)I like the Texans at home. Their defense is good and Trevor Lawrence... is not. The NFL must know something having Jacksonville favored in Houston, but I’m going with my gut on this one.
(Seahawks -6.5 vs Cardinals)The Seahawks have been cooking recently, and Sam Darnold looks like a legit caliber QB. The same player I had ranked #1 back in 2018. Shoutout to the Jets for being so incompetent at finding a play caller that Seattle (and Minnesota in 2024) get to reap some very nice benefits. The Cardinals are good, but I’m not confident in Jacoby Brissett against the 12th man.

I’ll use these blogs to keep track of my 2025 picks. If you’re using this for g*mbling advice, focus on the SuperContest 5. Best of luck to all those using these or fading me.
Disclaimer: I’m not the best pick-maker the word has ever seen, but I do have a winning record over the 2023 & 2024 seasons of 261-227-15. You can see where we are so far this season. The SuperContest games will have a *
I will not be picking any Broncos games this year as another FYI.
