I posted my NFL season predictions last week using this awesome tool to pick each matchup through the course of the entire season. That yielded me the following draft order. Let’s use this order for a Monday mock draft!

If all these QBs go in the first round like I think they could, look for the Steelers and Rams to move up in the draft to replace Aaron Rodgers and Matthew Stafford. No trades in this mock draft though.

I used PFF+ for this mock draft due to being able to rearrange the draft order, but typically I do mock drafts over at draftprofessor.com where you’ll find me on YouTube on Thursday nights at 7pm ET.

For the 2nd time on this blog, QB John Mateer has been mocked first overall to the Cleveland Browns. Some other highlights for this Monday mock draft:

  • Clemson gets 4 guys drafted in the first, including WR Antonio Williams, who left the LSU game in the first quarter and has yet to record a catch this year. I think he’s one of the best WRs in the draft, hopefully he gets healthy soon. Notably this mock does not include QB Cade Klubnik, who has had a rough start to the season.

  • 6 quarterbacks go in the top 17 picks with Mateer and Garrett Nussmeier going with the first 2 picks

  • Both Utah tackles Spencer Fano and Caleb Lomu go inside the top 20

  • Caleb Downs becomes the third safety since 2010 (Eric Berry & Jamal Adams) to be drafted top 10

  • Rams HC Sean McVay unites Indiana teammates Fernando Mendoza and Elijah Sarratt

  • DTs fall down the board with Peter Woods and Caleb Banks going in the back half of the first round
