I used PFF+ for this mock draft due to being able to rearrange the draft order, but typically I do mock drafts over at draftprofessor.com where you’ll find me on YouTube on Thursday nights at 7pm ET.

With Indiana upsetting Oregon on Saturday, there’s a new QB atop the mock drafts. Fernando Mendoza just marched the Hoosiers into Eugene and upset the No. 3 ranked Ducks. Mendoza has been dominant so far in 2025, completing 71.2% of his passes for 1,423 yards, 17 touchdowns and just 2 interceptions. His yards per attempt is up from 7.8 last year at Cal to 9.3 this season. His TD% has more than doubled and his INT% is at a career low. One major reason for that are two Indiana WRs Elijah Sarratt and Omar Cooper Jr., who didn’t quite make this first round mock but will hear their names called in April.

LaNorris Sellers (LaMorris if you ask my girlfriend) struggled in Baton Rouge on Saturday night, arguably the toughest game Sellers will play in his college career. Don’t get me wrong, I can see the tools that Sellers possesses. He has a massive frame for a QB, the ability to run the ball at a high level, and a rocket arm. But as a QB, I’ve yet to see the development to the next level. We’ll see how he and the 3-3 Gamecocks bounce back, but this reminds me a lot of Anthony Richardson.

Three more signal callers go in the first round headlined by Garrett Nussmeier who links up with his dad, Doug, in New Orleans. What a combo. Two franchises grab their potential Hall of Fame QB replacements with Sean McVay handpicking Dante Moore and Ty Simpson sliding to Pittsburgh.

Two Utah tackles go in the top 10 with Spencer Fano sliding in to protect Tua Tagovailoa‘s blind side and Caleb Lomu doing the same for CJ Stroud in Houston.

Three wide receivers go in the top 20 with Jordyn Tyson providing a true number one target for Cam Ward, Carnell Tate reuniting with former college teammate Marvin Harrison Jr., and Makai Lemon linking up with Sellers in Cleveland. These three WRs have separated themselves from the pack.

Kenyon Sadiq has solidified himself as the top tight end in this year’s class as well. He’d be a very interesting fit in the Kyle Shanahan offense, but I think it would be fun opposite George Kittle. Sadiq is an absolute monster and is one of the most athletic tight ends I’ve ever scouted.

Ohio State, Clemson and Oregon pace the field with 3 selections each in this mock draft. All three of the Buckeyes’ picks were selected in the top 11. Arvell Reese has been flying up draft boards and for good reason. He’s simply been the most dominant defender in college football not named Reuben Bain Jr. Reese and Bain each head to the AFC North in this mock.

My personal favorite pick in this mock draft is Kaydn Proctor to the LA Rams. Not only do they get what I believe would be their next franchise QB in Dante Moore, they get a true let tackle that is so athletic he was running the ball out of the wildcat formation on Saturday. Proctor has all the traits, size and freak athleticism to be a Hall of Fame tackle in the NFL.
