I’m writing this at 1:00am but who cares I wouldn’t be able to sleep anyway. FOOTBALL IS BACK. I don’t care if it’s just the preseason. Let’s get to the Hall of Famers who will be receiving their exclusive gold jackets tomorrow evening. Quarterback DREW BREES, running back ROGER CRAIG, wide receiver LARRY FITZGERALD, linebacker LUKE KUECHLY and kicker Adam Vinatieri make up the Class of 2026

I’m not going to dive into every single player, but 4/5 players were prevalent in the game as I was growing up. The Broncos went head to head with Luke Kuechly in Super Bowl 50. Adam Vinatieri was making kicks since I can remember against Carolina in Super Bowl 38. Drew Brees and Larry Fitzgerald were dominant fantasy football players when I joined my first league. We’re finally getting into the players of my generation. As for Roger Craig, my small Cornhusker following will be stoked.

Craig made history in 1985 when he became the first player in National Football League history to surpass 1,000 yards in both rushing (1,050) and receiving (1,016) in the same season. His career-high 92 receptions that year led the league. The dude was an incredibly-gifted and versatile weapon that helped the 49ers take down the Broncos in Super Bowl XXIV, 55-10.
