Have a great weekend everybody, if you’re reading this shoutout to you. Thanks for hanging out, check out my YouTube: Football With Chaw.

The SuperContest Picks & Why:(North Texas -1 vs South Florida) I’m starting this out with a pick ’em featuring North Texas and a ranked USF squad. My buddy coaches at UNT and they are off to a hot 5-0 start. I think they can pull it out at home. (Kent State -2.5 vs UMass)I met that same buddy that coaches at North Texas when we were both at Kent State. UMass has lost 16 straight games vs FBS opponents (last win Oct 2023). Kent State has lost 26 straight to FBS opponents (last win Nov 2022). Something has to give. Flashes in all powder blue uniforms at Dix Stadium. GO FLASHES(Northwestern +22 at Penn State)Another buddy that I worked with at Kent State now works at Northwestern, so we are going with the ol’ Brewhouse special (iykyk) this weekend. Shoutout Kent, Ohio. Penn State could bounce back, but I’m riding with the Wildcats who are fresh off back-to-back wins after a 1-2 start.(BYU -2 at Arizona)Freshman QB Bear Bachmeier has been one of the most impressive storylines of the college football season. He has the Cougars off to a 5-0 start, throwing for more than 1,000 yards with only 1 interception. Bachmeier has 200 rushing yards and 12 total touchdowns. WR Chase Roberts is the deep threat to watch for BYU. He’s averaging 19.8 yards per reception with nearly 400 yards and 3 TDs. (South Carolina +9 at LSU)Night game in Baton Rouge. This is everything you want to watch as a talent evaluator. How does a polarizing prospect like South Carolina QB LaNorris Sellers prepare for this environment. How does he manage the game on the field? This is going to be a difficult environment for Sellers, but +9 is a lot and the LSU offense has struggled to start the season. (Ohio State -14.5 at Illinois)I’m riding with the Buckeyes for the second straight week after they covered easily against Minnesota last weekend. Illinois hasn’t fared well against top competition, getting their doors blown off by Indiana and barely scraping by against USC. I think a few teams have separated themselves at the top of college football, and Ohio State is in the top tier.(Oklahoma +1 vs Texas) – game in Dallas, TXBoomer. Sooner. It’s really as simple as that. Horns down, all the way down. Texas QB Arch Manning has gotten a lot of hate for the way this Longhorns’ offense looks. I think the media and everyone needs to lay off of him. He hasn’t been playing well, but some of the hate he gets is unnecessary. Regardless, I haven’t seen anything from Manning and the Texas offense that makes me think they can compete against Oklahoma’s defense led by HC Brent Venables.

For the college SuperContest, you pick any 7 games you want. Extremely simple. Purely for my own entertainment, I’m going to pick every single game on the card with a heavy emphasis on tracking my Big 12 picks since I’ve established myself as a Big 12 guy.

I will be posting my NFL picks prior to the TNF game each week, and the college picks will come out on Fridays unless there’s a Thursday game on the card and sometimes I’ll just skip Thursday honestly.

Another reminder, these are not bets I will be placing myself. I do this purely for fun.
